Radiofrequency is an electromagnetic current which raises the body temperature in the treated area by 3 to 5 degrees celsius. This localised increase in temperature at both superficial and deep levels improves blood flow, oxygenation and flexibility of tissues (muscles, ligaments, tendons), accelerates wound healing, helps drain oedemas and haematomas and encourages post- operative recovery by complementing osteosynthesis materials.
Radiofrequency controls pain (acute, subacute or chronic) by producing heat that penetrates deep into the tissues, thus slowing down nervous system stimuli.
